About UAC

The Universal Athletics Club was established in 2000 to provide athletes training services in the sport of Athletics (Track and Field). The club is based out of North Surrey Secondary School (Track Facility), and the Universal Fitness Centre (8585 132nd Street).

The Universal Athletics Club is registered under the BC Societies Act and BC Athletics. The club is a community oriented, voluntary, professionally coached, non-profit, competitive Athletics club for all.

UAC Sessions

The Universal Track & Field Club has two training sessions every year:

  1. Fall Training Session: September 2nd - December 23rd
  2. Spring Training Session: January 2nd - August 15th

All athletes must be registered with the club prior to training.

Guiding Principles

  • Introduce fun and creative programs for basic skills development (running, jumping, and throwing programs).
  • Help develop a positive self- image
  • Improve fitness level
  • Reduce anti-social behaviour
  • To create an opportunity to achieve excellence in the sport of Track and Field

Athletes

  • Practice the value of teamwork, pride, and dedication
  • Show good sportsmanship
  • Be regular and punctual for practice
  • Notify the coaches of any injury, illness, or any other special consideration
  • Respect the decisions made by club officials and coaches
  • Put maximum effort into each training session

Parents

  • Provide a loving and supportive environment and be a positive role model
  • Respect the decisions made by club officials
  • Support the club
  • Assist the coaches at training sessions and at the local competitions
  • Provide and promote a healthy lifestyle
  • Provide competitive opportunities to athletes at the appropriate levels
  • Encourage athletes to focus on competitions, goals, and expectations
